Print nr. 1-2:15 is the second drawing I made in april 2020. The beginning of the lockdown. And so much time was given to me to be in my studio and draw. It was a gift to have so much time to spent there.
Let’s focus on the sansevieria in this print. She is called Vrouwentongen in Dutch, Women’s tongues. The plant is so robust, low maintenance and so colorful, all those gradation in just one leave. This plant is one of my favorite forms to use because of the big block of green colouration in the middle of the paper. It works as a green oasis in the drawing. I search for it during the making if I can use the ‘block of green”. So I made several. I’ll try to make a next post about all the sansevieria’s I drew in a next post.
